The longer I’m around, the more I realize that I am not in control. I merely have an influence but usually no the final say. I’m still learning to love the process, and leaning on trust where I don’t find clarity.

(AUTO)BIOGRAPHY

My name is Kwaician. I am a singer-songwriter born in Chicago, Illinois. When I was about seven years old I started singing at my local church, and then eventually started performing professionally at age thirteen. At sixteen I moved from Carbondale, Illinois to Fargo, North Dakota where I began to find my voice as a musician, songwriter, and performer, as well as develop my skill with a loop pedal. Deeply rooted in the storytelling, and emotional connection of northern folk music, I started piecing together my first independent EP, titled, “Six Strings and a Notebook”, which was released it in 2015. Not long after my first release came two more EPs, “Vision” (2016), “VIP Session: Kwaician Live In Fargo” (2017) and an album, “Holding On & Letting Go” (2018), all independently released. 2022 and 2023 brought two full length albums, titled, “Best for Now’ and “Next to Come”, respectively. A bit of hard work, prayer, patience and opportunity have lead to bigger stages, bigger crowds, and bigger collaborations. I believe that the future is much brighter than I realize. One thing that hasn’t changed is how much I love doing this. I hope that never changes, no matter how bright or dim the road ahead may be.
